Argentina beat France 80-66 in a match in which the Argentine player Luis Scola stood out, with 28 points and 13 rebounds, reserving a place for the South American team in the World Cup final, the first since 2002 for the “Argentina”.
In the quarter-finals, France beat favorites and reigning champions the USA, but could not advance to the final as a power forward Rudy Gobert had problems and shots from beyond the area did not enter.
