Frank Lampard was a sensational player for Chelsea, but he couldn’t recreate the same success during his stint as a manager for the club. As a result, the London giants decided to place trust in German manager Thomas Tuchel.
Since Tuchel’s arrival, the former PSG boss has completely changed the atmosphere of the club. The players look in a better form and his strategies are helping them to win games in all competitions.
Recently, Chelsea defeated Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 fixtures of the UEFA Champions League. Following this victory, Chelsea will advance to the next round of this prestigious competition.
The credit for this newfound success of the club goes to none other than Tuchel. In fact, the 47-year-old recorded a milestone that even the great “Chosen One” Jose Mourinho couldn’t achieve for the London side.
Thomas Tuchel creates a history for Chelsea
Since debuting for Chelsea, Tuchel’s men have been unbeaten in all competitions. The victory against Atletico Madrid extended this streak to 13 games! Which is the longest unbeaten start for any Chelsea manager in the history of the club.
Following the impressive record, the club’s Twitter account congratulated its manager. They tweeted:
“Big up the boss! Congrats on setting a new club record, gaffer 13 games unbeaten in all competitions – the longest ever unbeaten start by a manager in Chelsea’s history!”

While this winning streak is something to celebrate for fans, the team is yet to win a single trophy this season. As of now, the EPL title is most likely out of grasp from the team, but they still have something to bet their hopes on.
The English juggernauts can still bring the UCL trophy home. Moreover, with Barcelona and Juventus already out of the competition, the championship path is wide open for Chelsea.
