Sadio Mane finds his “high energy” only in Liverpool

Sadio Mane

Since his arrival in 2016, Sadio Mane has won everything for Liverpool. His teammate Mohammed Salah obviously gets all the spotlight because of his overall performance but the Senegalese’s impact has never been a question. Now, in a season full of struggles the 28-year-old is optimistic to finish the season in good terms.

Liverpool hasn’t been in great touch since January. Even though they are in the quarterfinals of the Champions League, the Premier League race has been difficult. The Reds are 7th in the table and need some solid performances in order to finish in the top four.

Liverpool dropped 26 points in the last 13 Premier League matches. However, just before the International break, the club won back to back matches and thus the fans are hopeful. Mane too is ready to take the challenge. “We have to deal with the situation and not stop believing, but keep fighting, keep our motivation and go again”, expressed the Senegalese.

The Senegalese International is optimistic about his own form as well. Before his game against Congo, he said, “When you are a fighter you never try to make excuses, we are here to find solutions. Being together with my teammates always gives me high energy”.

Sadio Mane’s form is a matter of concern for Liverpool

Liverpool will be facing Real Madrid in the Champions League quarterfinal. Other than that, they are scheduled to face the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Manchester United in the league. They do have a tough schedule ahead and thus Jürgen Klopp needs his best players to play their ‘A’ game.

In that case, Sadio Mane needs to get back in touch. The 28-year-old has just 2 goals and one assist in his last 11 games for the Reds. He’s been inconsistent this season and is no way near to his last year’s performance. In this phase, he believes unity and fighting spirit can change be the key.

To change it? Nothing else but stick together, be positive and fight”. He added, “This is what we try to do to change this situation and I’m sure that it will change. I am more proud than ever to be a Liverpool player. I am happy, I am really enjoying sharing the pitch with my team-mates for Liverpool Football Club”.

Liverpool actually needs to stick together to end this season in positive terms. The club has faced a lot of problems because of all the injuries but Klopp always remained hopeful. Thus, in this hour of need, Mane’s words can actually motivate his motivates in order to do better and take the club in a respectable position.
