Robert Lewandowski is always “hungry for goals” favours RB Leipzig star Alexander Sorloth

With 35 goals in the current Bundesliga season, Robert Lewandowski is no doubt in his sparkling best form. His impact is so strong that before their high-voltage clash against RB Leipzig, even the opponent striker was full of praise of the Bayern talisman for his remarkable season.

The young Norwegian Alexander Sorloth stated that he adores the Polish for his gameplay. He loves how the Bayern number 9 is always hungry and how he loves to create an impact that can change a course of a match.

The secret I think only he knows. What you can see from the outside is that he is always hungry, he’s never satisfied. Some players, if they score a hat-trick, in the next game they will slack off a bit, but what you can see in him is that he is always hungry for goals. I think that’s the most inspiring thing and that’s also what you want from a striker: to always be hungry and never be satisfied”, is what Sorloth stated to Bundesliga.com.

The 25-year-old scored twice and assisted as many in his last three appearances in the league. He will face a tough task when RB Leipzig takes on the defending champion Bayern Munich in their next fixture. The match has the potential to decide the future of the Bundesliga title for the season.

As things stand, Bayern is just 4 points ahead of the ‘Die Rotten Bullen’ and if they manage to conquer the champions, the league will once again light up in colors.

Robert Lewandowski vs RB Leipzig

No matter whichever team Bayern faces, the question appears to stand just like this. Bayern scored thrice against Leipzig when they earlier met in the league where Lewandowski didn’t score a single one. Thus, the Polish International will be hungry for goals against the second-best German side this season.

Sorloth takes inspiration from ‘Lewangoalski’. He follows him closely and knows his tricks by now. “When I watch the Bayern games, I always try to have an eye on his movement in the box. He’s really good at getting away from defenders”, he said.

The 25-year-old further added, “It’s not big movements, they’re small. Always like, he goes a little bit in front of the defender and then he goes to the back of him, so he doesn’t see him. Small stuff like that I try to notice and also do in my own game”.

The stakes will be high for Leipzig when they take on the defending champions as their season depends on this. Liverpool already knocked them out of the Champions League thus the league and DFB Pokal cup are the only trophies left for them to clinch.

Out of which if the Munich side beat them, the league can virtually be over for them. However, Leipzig held Bayern 3-3 last time. It won’t be surprising if Leipzig does something similar this time as well. After all, Bayern Munich conceded the most number of goals among the top 6 in the league.
