Son Heung-min has received redemption after Manchester United expelled six fans for abusing the South Korean on social media.
Son Heung-Min became the latest victim of online abuse following the commencement of the Premier League after the lockdown period.
The issue escalated after Son acted in a brasher manner in the match against Manchester United on 11th April 2021.
After the game, the Korean speedster was targetted by United fans who sent him abusive messages. The messages condemned the South Korean for his actions on the field in a derogative manner.
Following this event, Tottenham publicly stated that Son Heung-Min will receive never-ending support from the Lilywhites.
In an interview on 30th April 2021, the Red Devils released a statement that said, “After an investigation conducted to locate the fans responsible for such an heinous act. We have decided to take strict actions on the perpetrators.”

“We have handed suspensions to three season ticket holders, two United members and one individual on the season ticket waiting list,” said United.
Son Heung-Min can relax in peace knowing that justice has been served. However, the issue of online abuse has escalated a lot after the lockdown in the UK and many footballers have become victims of such defamations.
In light of the crisis, the football community has united and announced their intention to fight by boycotting their use of social media until the issues are resolved.
The exceptional talents of Son Heung-Min will lead to more abuse
There is a high chance that Son can receive abuse again due to his skills as a footballer causing the downfall of many teams in the EPL.
Thus, the South Korean can never hope to be free from such tribulations in his career. But, he can rather use the opportunity to understand that the reason they push him down is due to his skills as a player and they fear him for that.
Therefore, Son Heung Min needs to sure up and be ready for whatever comes up next.
