Lingard has finally opened the eyes of the Manchester United manager with his exceptional performances for West Ham. The forty-eight-year-old Norwegian thankfully made the Englishman sign a contract extension.
Lingard found himself sent on loan to West Ham, following a lack of game time with the Red Devils. This, in turn, became a blessing for the Warrington native as he recorded five goals and two assists in seven appearances for the Irons.

The record accumulated by Jesse caused pain for Ole, as he was the orchestrator behind the twenty-eight-year-olds loan move. Ole would have even missed out on Jlingz had he not made the Englishman sign the contract.
Following the news about Lingard’s emergence for West Ham, Ole could not help but beam with pride. In an interview on March 27th, 2021, he said, “things have worked out for the best for Jesse and us. David Moyes has made great use of Lingard as well.”
“Jesse rediscovered himself at West Ham, and that is great to see” said Solskjaer.

Ole then talked about taking Lingard out for Bruno Fernandes due to the similarity of their positions. He said, “Lingard and Bruno both play in the number ten role; hence he had to move away for more game time.”
Ole’s comments suggest that Lingard was not at his best when he played for Manchester United.
However, the Norwegian has forgotten Jesse played in the starting eleven alongside French forward Anthony Martial on numerous occasions.
Jesse- Before the arrival of Ole Solskjaer
Lingard graduated from the Manchester United academy in 2011. He received his first call up to the Red Devils team under Sir Alex Ferguson. Though the legendary did not need the youngster in his star-studded squad.
Thus he went on loan four times to various teams until the year 2015.
The year 2015 spoke volumes for the Englishman as he scored his first senior goal for Manchester United in a thunderous fashion and announced himself to the United fans.
The goal guaranteed him a few more opportunities as managers David Moyes (current West Ham manager) and Louis Van Gaal took a liking to the youngster. Hope was not lost for Lingard as incoming manager Jose Mourinho gave him a permanent position in the Red Devils lineup. Under Mourinho, he had his biggest season by recording eight goals and five assists in thirty-three EPL appearances.
Then came Ole and therefore came an end to Lingard’s reign at Old Trafford. Ole did not have patience with Jesse, despite the Englishman proving vital in the Europa League with three-goal contributions in nine UEL appearances.
Lingard might remain with the Hammers as Moyes wants to buy Youssef En-Nesyri

David Moyes knows that Lingard will have to be convinced into remaining with the Irons, and he has thought of a fool-proof plan to make it happen. The plan is to lure the Youssef En-Nesyri from the Ramon Sanchez- Pizjuan Stadium to the London Stadium. Youssef has been in great form for Los Palanganas by recording fifteen goals in twenty-eight La Liga appearances.
Therefore, it is a no-brainer that Lingard would remain with West Ham if the Moroccan international becomes the new number nine for the London club.
