Eduardo Camavinga is a star in the making and his agent, Jonathan Barnett believes in it.
The young French star made his breakthrough at Rennes football academy as he dazzled his way to the senior team. On April 6th, 2019, he made his Ligue 1 debut with a draw against the Angers.
Since then, he has passed nine hundred and ninety-nine times and has a ninety percent pass completion. Players of his age would struggle to achieve such a stat, but Camavinga accomplished it with ease.
Eduardo Camavinga is a hot commodity. Many European giants desire him for his ability to complete passes and his attacking forte. AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini created a list of young players he thinks will become the best in the world. As of June 4th, 2020, Camavinga was on top of it with others like M. Greenwood and O. Edouard falling short.
Furthermore, Jonathan Barnett said to reporters from the Daily Mail that “Eduardo is desired by the biggest clubs in the world. If he does decide to leave Rennes, he will make a calculated decision before he contemplates a move.”
Barnett revealed that the eighteen-year-old is available for a sum of forty-four million pounds. However, the price may be too steep and a gamble for most clubs. Except for a select few like Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Consequently, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Jonathan Barnett said, “Madrid is a great club to play for.”
Real Madrid are at the forefront of the race for Eduardo Camavinga
Eduardo Camavinga could thrive at Real Madrid, taking into perspective, the relationship they have with his agent. Barnett has supplied Madrid earlier with Gareth Bale, who became one of their biggest stars to date and lead the attack for Los Blancos along with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. Barnett as an agent would want his player to move to a club of that caliber, to further develop and become a future G.O.A.T.
Madrid sits at the second position on the La Liga table, six points away from league leaders Atletico Madrid. The primary reason for their current situation is the lack of midfield depth that they possess. They need another Luka Modric at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the thirty-five-year-old Croatian international rapidly. Camavinga is an ideal replacement for Modric, as they both have similar styles and Los Blancos could benefit immensely. Moreover, he would also be crucial to Madrid in the final third and supply them with passes that could lead to further accolades.
The idea of Camavinga as a Galactico may come as a shock to the Madrid fans. They who would want a more established name to deliver them from the nightmare that they are in. However, the French midfielder has proven that he has the talent to make a believer out of his critics and will soon have them eating from his hands if he does make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Nevertheless, Camavinga is happy to remain at Rennes and continue to develop and shine as a young football star.
