Erik Ten Hag agrees his contract extension with the Amsterdam Arena to the delight of Ajax. The Dutch side have wished for this day ever since rumours circulated about the Dutchman leaving the De Godenzonen.
Erik Ten Hag has done a lot for Ajax this season. Despite crashing out in the UEL Quarter-Finals to AS Roma.
Hag has taken Ajax to the top of the Eredevisie table once again. He has achieved this on three occasions after his move from Utrecht to Ajax in the year 2018.
To celebrate Ten Hags importance to them, the Dutch side offered him a long term contract that would keep him at the Amsterdam Arena until 2023.
In an interview on 30th April 2021, Erik said, “I know exactly who I am working with. I cannot explain my joy in words.”

These comments will delight Ajax fans who know the importance of the Dutchmen for their club.
Prior to Hag’s move from Utrecht, Ajax had lost the title to the Feyenoord in the 2016-17 season. By the time that Erik Ten Hag joined the Dutch Giants, his predecessor had made it hard for him to win the title in his debut season.
It was through him that they regained their status in Europe and they would cherish to let him go soon enough.
Though, Ajax remain ecstatic over their managers decision to remain with their club, Tottenham Hotspur could never share their joy , since they scouted Hag as a replacement for Jose Mourinho.

Tottenham face another set-back as their dream replacement for Mourinho, Erik Ten Hag has signed a contract extension with Ajax.
Through Ten Hag, Spurs were hoping to re-emerge as title challengers next season in the EPL. But unfortunately Erik Ten Hag has poured cold water over their efforts.
Therefore, Erik Ten Hag has caused Spurs a heartache they soon have to recover from.
