Everton Insights: Jean-Phillipe Gbamin Is Back in Premier League and More Details From Manager Carlo Ancelotti

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti updated regarding the return of players like Jean-Phillipe Gbamin and James Rodriguez in the match against Crystal Palace on Manday.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti reported Jean-Phillipe Gbamin is fit to play in the next match against Crystal Palace since his last appearance in 2019. The manager further updates the status of the other players in the squad.

The 25-year-old midfielder only appeared in the first two matches since joining Everton in August 2019 on a five-year contract. The Ivorian faced an Achilles injury and went under surgery. The player finally came back to Goodison Park after a long break of over 12 months.

There is also positive news regarding the English goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, who will resume training next week after his recovery from an abdominal issue. Meanwhile, Ben Godfrey and Tom Davies faced some trouble during England’s match against Croatia in the U-21 series of Euro 2021 but both of them are fit to play in the next match.

Ancelotti stated, “Davies and Godfrey had minor problems. I think they will be available on Monday. Davies trained without problems today [Friday]. Godfrey did an individual session, but he will be available for the game.”

The manager also updated regarding the goalkeeper Robin Olsen, who had a similar problem to Pickford. The Swedish is recovering well, and might soon join the squad but not prior to the Crystal Palace match. However, Fabian Delph and Abdoulaye Doucoure won’t be able to play in the upcoming match because of their respective injuries.

The Toffeemen lost the past few matches and even got knocked out of FA cup to Manchester City. We might witness Ancelotti’s squad rising back to their form because players like Gbamin and Rodriguez are back in the squad and thus, the manager has more strategies to take down the Glaziers on Monday, April 5.
