The Brazilian Forward Carlos Vinicius scored his first goal in Premier League since he joined in 2020 and the striker is emotional about this feat.
Tottenham Hotspur had a poor performance in the past couple of matches, first losing the North London derby and then a shameful defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League. Thus, the manager Jose Mourinho made few changes to the squad, like letting Vinicius playing for the full 90 minutes.

Carlos Vinicius of Tottenham Hotspur scores their side’s first goal during the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park on March 21, 2021, in Birmingham, England.
The victory over Aston Villa on March 21, was a huge morale booster for Spurs. Further, it was a memorable day for the 26-year-old Vinicius, as he scored his first goal in the English league.
Vinicius said, “It was an emotional moment for me, but it was for the whole team as well.”

Carlos Vinicius and his future in Tottenham Hotspur
The Brazilian forward joined the English club in 2020 on a season-long loan from Benfica for a €3 million fee. Vini performed really well in all his appearances for the Spurs, scoring ten goals from 21 appearances.
The Bom Jesus das Selvas-born scored the first and leading goal against Villa in the 29th minute. Lucas Moura and Harry Kane set a beautiful piece in the Villa box, and then Vinicius races into the box to score his maiden goal.

Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur celebrates with Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura after scoring their side’s second goal from the penalty spot during the Premier League match between Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park on March 21, 2021, in Birmingham, England.
Carlos was so happy about the strike that slammed his hand while celebrating his first Premier League goal. Therefore, his fellow Brazilian teammate Morua teased him about the incident on Twitter.
Hahahahahahaha he almost broke the post (or his hand) hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 https://t.co/Gk33jfyz9b

Vini is being a nice back-up to Harry Kane in the absence of Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale, who are on leave because of their injuries. The Brazilian is being a great aid for the No.10 to break the opponent’s defense and can also score. But when Son and Bale returns, Vini will again be benched for most matches but will be a fantastic reserve. But if Mourinho lets Carlos be regular on the squad, it can reduce the pressure on Kane, Son, and Bale.

Carlos Vinicius is an excellent backup for Tottenham Hotspur.
The goal against Villa is just the beginning for Vinicius, we can expect more wonderful performances from the Brazil-born. If he continues the excellent game, then chances are there for him to be permanent at Spurs. The lily-whites will next play against Newcastle on Sunday, April 4.
