Sheffield United vs. West Ham United English Premier League 2020

English League match between Sheffield United vs West Ham in the continuation of Week 22 of the Premier League will be held at the Bramall Lane Stadium on 10 January 2020 at 8:00 p.m. ( UK Time).

This match will be the third test for David Moyes who has just been re-appointed as West Ham coach after the dismissal of Manuel Pellegrini. Pellegrini was removed after the defeat of The Hammers from Leicester City with a score of 1-2 at home.

Instead, David Moyes was appointed who had previously coached West Ham. The Scottish coach immediately resurrected Mark Noble. Moyes’s first two games were passed with successive wins in two different events, namely a 4-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League, then took home the victory from Gillingham headquarters with a score of 0-2 in the FA Cup.

On the other hand, Sheffield United who will act as the host actually are declining despite the appearance could make a surprise by circulating at the top of the standings.

However, Chris Wilder’s squad failed to win in the last three Premier League matches. Sheffield United were held to a draw at home to Watford 1-1. After that, Phil Jagielka and his friends lay in front of two championship candidate teams, Manchester City and Liverpool, each with an identical score of 0-2.

Moyes starts the second stage positively

The Irons have had a positive start under the direction of David Moyes , who has returned to be their coach, and have won their first two games in their second term , with a null result against Bournemouth (4-0) in the Premier League and Gillingham (2-0) in the FA Cup.

However, Friday’s mission on Bramall Lane is undoubtedly Moyes’ biggest test since his return to West Ham , and the Scotsman will have to find a way to reverse the problems he inherited on the day away from home to get a Positive result on Friday.

West Ham has turned four of its last six games of the highest category on the road , and the Irons have scored a total of three times in that sextet of games.

Sheffield United is a hard nut to crack

With only six losses in 21 Premier League games since its rise , Sheffield United remains one of the most difficult teams to beat in the division, and the Blades have only been defeated once in their last six home games.

Sheffield United and West Ham were well matched in their early season meeting in London, sharing the loot after a disputed 1-1 draw in the capital, although we believe the Blades have the tools to get a victory in the Friday’s return match.

Sheffield only lost three times in their last 14 Premier League games at the end of September, and after losing two straight games against Man City and Liverpool, Chris Wilder’s pupils will be desperate to return to the path of success to West Ham coast.

Sheffield United vs. West Ham United Prediction

David Moyes is expected to continue the winning trend led by West Ham. Until the 21st week, the Hammers are still in the bottom of the Premier League standings, but at least they have escaped the relegation zone thanks to the former Everton and Manchester United manager. From the host side, entertaining West Ham should be used as a moment of revival of Sheffield United which currently ranks 8th in the Premier League standings. Moreover, they have just won 2-1 over Fylde in the FA Cup.
