Sam Eggington Wins International IBF Super Welter Class Belt
Sam Eggington proved his power by winning the IBF International Welter Super Class championship belt. Eggington won the TKO win in round two over Orlando Fiordigiglio in a battle in Florence, Italy, Thursday night local time.
The boxer from Birmingham showed his superiority when a short punch to his right hand made Fiordigiglio fall on the ring rope.
Referee Ammar Sakaroui from France stopped the fight after Fiordigiglio was unable to continue the duel in the second round remaining 47 seconds.
Eggington, the former British champion and European champion won the championship belt for the fifth rank challenger in the IBF International Welter Super class.
He previously lost to Liam Smith in a brutal battle earlier this year. It was the sixth defeat of his career, but, only six months after that he found himself by getting into a big fight.
Fiordigiglio won 31 of the 33 previous fights and only fought domestically. He was unable to stem Eggington’s might.
