Rummenigge Believes Kane Is Not Better Than Lewandowski
Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is wary of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. According to the legendary German football, Kane, like Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski, are two world-class strikers who score a lot.
Bayern will be hosted by Tottenham on Matchday 2 qualification for Group B Champions League 2019/2020 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday (10/01/2019) local time or Wednesday (2/10/2019) at 02.00 WIB.
Bayern topped the standings after a 3-0 win over Redstar Belgrade in the opening match. While Spurs drew 2-2 with Olympiacos. Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot in that match.
“Kane is a top player who, like Robert Lewandowski, has scored a lot of goals. They are probably the two best strikers in the world today,” Rummenigge told reporters.
“I hope Robert (Lewandowski) will do better than Kane in the match later, but it is not easy to stop Kane, he is a world-class striker,”
Rummenigge also talked about the future of Tottenham which has the potential to lose a number of big players. Another club’s interest in Kane, Christian Eriksen, could disrupt Tersham’s togetherness.
“They have a good team,” added Rummenigge. “But the question is whether they can keep this top team together for a long time because Christian Eriksen’s contract will expire next year.
