Real Madrid hasn’t seen the real Hazard yet

Real Madrid hasn't seen the real Hazard yet

Eden Hazard has had a difficult season since moving from Chelsea to Real Madrid in the transfer market this summer. Just one goal and one assist provided for Los Blancos this season.

The sinking of Hazard’s popularity raises doubts that he will replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the Zinedine Zidane squad. This statement came out of Arsene Wenger.

Wenger said Hazard could be called a solution for Madrid after losing CR7, but he still did not deserve to replace Ronaldo’s role at the Santiago Bernabeu. Especially when comparing with the contribution of goals per season.

“He (Hazard) will be the answer, but not in replacing Ronaldo for sure. He will not score 50 goals per season, that’s what distinguishes the way they play football,” Wenger was quoted as saying from Marca, Friday (11/11/2019) .

So far Hazard has played six matches with Madrid. But from these statistics he only appeared fully for 90 minutes twice. The lack of full playing opportunities is caused due to injury problems.

Zidane does not seem to want to risk the back of the 7 players. Therefore, the French coach prefers to maintain Hazard’s fitness.

Wenger stressed what Madrid needed now was to find the original Hazard he had seen while defending Chelsea. If Zidane is able to see that potential more quickly, then El Real will find a player who has the sharpness to score again.

“Real Madrid need another goal scorer because Karim Benzema is already 32 years old. If there are younger attackers who help, Benzema and Haard can play better,” explained Wenger.

“Hazard is an amazing player to create chances and need to do it in a big game. He is not afraid of anyone, I think Real has not seen the real Hazard, he is not as sharp as he is physically. That’s why, I believe they will find the real Hazard, “concluded Wenger.
