Tammy Abraham celebrated after breaking goal Lille in the Champions League.
A compliment was given by Olivier Giroud to Tammy Abraham. He considered the young Chelsea striker has been transformed into a figure that can be relied upon by the Blues.
This season Frank Lampard is doing a great gamble. He decided to launch Tammy Abraham in the Blues attack after he lost Gonzalo Higuain and Alvaro Morata.
The 22-year striker’s performance was truly impressive. He has packed eight goals in eight matches in the Premier League.
Giroud was amazed to see the performance of the striker. “Tammy is playing very well at the moment and he is very efficient in our attacking lines,” Giroud told The Athletic.

Ready to help
Giroud admitted that Abraham was his rival for playing as a starter at Chelsea. But Giroud claimed to be ready to help the striker to develop even better.
“Am I helping Tammy? Yes, because he is still a young player and he is having a good moment, so I am happy for him.”
“He reminded me when I just started my career. He matured faster and he played very well at a young age. I am very happy with the game and I will help him to perform better.”
Do not give up
Giroud also stressed he would not give up so easily with this situation. He will fight to be able to shift Abraham from the spearhead of the Blues.
“It’s true that competition at Chelsea is very tight. So what can I do? I just need to wait for my opportunities. I will work hard with high spirits so that when the manager needs me, I will look efficient.”
“But I will continue to encourage him not to be in the comfort zone. I will try to score a lot of goals to create a good competition between the two of us,” he stressed.
Next match
Chelsea will return to action in the Premier League next week after the International break.
They will face Newcastle on 19 October.
