Mahomes and Brittany announced the news on Twitter on Sunday. Brittany posted a picture in which the baby’s finger is holding tight her parent’s hands. She captioned “Sterling Skye Mahomes.” The baby weighs a 6-pound, 11-ounce.

Gender reveal

In October, the couple announced that their first child would be a girl. They posted a gender reveal video to make the announcement. The couple was standing in front of a wall of balloons and lights that say “BOY OR GIRL.” Then their dogs make their way down through a white runway toward them, leaving several pink footprints. However, the pink footprints clearly indicate that they are having a baby girl.

Earlier in September, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany publicized that they were expecting their first child by posting a photo on Instagram, in which they were holding a sonogram picture.

The Kansas City Chiefs star has been experiencing some memorable moments in the last few months. Mahomes proposed to his fiancée on September 1, 2020, following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony at Arrowhead Stadium. However, Brittany was his high school sweetheart.

At night, Brittany posted a photo on her Instagram story that showed what appeared to be one of the suites inside the stadium, filled with candles and flowers, and a glowing sign that said, “WILL YOU MARRY ME.”

Later Patric Mahomes told 610 Sports Radio about the propose that, “You don’t think it’s going to be nerve-wracking, especially when you’ve been with someone for so long, but before you get on that knee, your heart’s racing, I promise you that,” he said.
