Graziano Reports Chicago Bears Are Still “Looking for a Contigency Plan” at Landing Russell Wilson.

The NFL offseason is the ideal time for players to take a rest and spend time away from the field. However, it is also a busy time for the team management and the franchises as they sit down and chart their course for the upcoming season.

The Chicago Bears are in desperate requirement of a franchise quarterback at the moment. Before the drafts occur, Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks is emerging out as the perfect fit for the team. However, Wilson will come at a heavy price, which is exactly why the Bears are looking at other prospects.

TV analyst and NFL insider Dan Graziano talked about the Chicago Bears’ progress regarding Wilson. He said that the outfit is also “looking for a contingency plan” in the pursuit of the 32-year-old.

In a discussion with other analysts on ESPN, Dan Graziano spoke on the matter regarding Russell Wilson. He said, “It is still out there. They would like to go for a big swing which is Russell Wilson. They’re not the only team that feels that way. If he becomes available, they would like to take their shot. However, at this point, Seattle hasn’t decided to do it.”

He continued, “It is definitely not out of the question. Even if it happens in this offseason, it is more likely to happen after June 1st rather than before just because of the financial ramifications. There are multiple teams monitoring this because there are no active discussions going on.”

The new NFL season will commence from 9th September in the fall. The first match will feature the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as they were winners of the Super Bowl this year. Super Bowl LVI will be held in the newly constructed SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Home to the Los Angeles Rams.
