This NFL has seen many high-profile trades over its course. The signing of Carson Wentz by the Indianapolis Colts is definitely around the top of the pile. The quarterback spent a dismal last season with the Philadelphia Eagles and is now looking forward to resurrecting his career with the Colts.
With the Indianapolis Colts, Wentz looks to turn over a new leaf and give the type of performances we once knew him for. TV analyst Stephen A. Smith talks about how the Colts’ newest addition can exceed expectations.
He said, “I will tell you this. I think Carson Wentz is gonna have a pretty good season. Now that might not be entirely because of Carson Wentz. He has got a big-time offensive line protecting him. So he is gonna get sacked 58 times or something like that. Obviously, you got Frank Reich calling plays and stuff like that. He is your head coach and he was the former offensive coordinator in Philadelphia.”
Smith continued, “Plus I’m looking at Indi on the defensive side of the spectrum. I think they are a complete team. Carson Wentz can throw the football, he can run with the ball, h just can’t play hero ball. I think Frank Reich can reel him in and this can work out very very well.”
Can Carson Wentz ball out at Indianapolis Colts?
This is a win-win situation for both Wentz and the Colts. They were in dire need of a franchise quarterback, and Carson Wentz was in need of a change of scenery. Head coach Frank Reich has known him for years and will be able to form a formidable setup around him. With the proper guidance, Carson Wentz might get back to his 2017 form.

There is no doubt about the fact that Wentz is one the most prolific quarterbacks in recent times. However, he has seen a steady decline in his form over the past couple of years. This can be attributed to the fact that the Eagles did not have a proper infrastructure in place for him.
Stephen A Smith even went on to say that he thinks that the Indianapolis Colts can go on to win the NFC South. In fact, if all their star players start firing on all cylinders, the Colts have a team that can even go to the Super Bowl.
The upcoming NFL season commences on 9th September. Super Bowl LVI will be held in the newly constructed SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, home of the Los Angeles Rams.
