Carson Wentz Eager to “Dive Head-First This Offseason” to Get Back in Rhythm for Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts recently acquired Carson Wentz from Philadelphia Eagles via a 2021 third-round draft pick and a 2022 second-round pick. Now that Carson Wentz is officially a Colts quarterback, he is ready to kick off with his new team.

Wentz started his career with Philadelphia Eagles in 2016. Over the four years, he won a Superbowl already and played one Pro Bowl. In his latest season, Carson Wentz completed 16 touchdowns, 15 interceptions with 251 of 437 passes for 2,620.

Since he played with only one team all his career, Wentz might find it difficult to play with a new team initially. However, he will certainly get the rhythm after he plays a few games with the Colts.

The 28-year-old quarterback cannot wait to debut with the Colts. Wentz recently appeared in an interview and shared his plan to play with the new team. “I am going to dive head-first this offseason into improving those things, those areas of my game,” he said

Wentz lacks his playing style, and he will work to fix them first before starting the new season. “There are definitely things that you watch and say, ‘OK, this is where I can improve,” Carson stated about his improvements.

Although he did not share the things he wants to improve, Indianapolis Colts have many excellent coaching staff who will surely work with Wentz to make him a perfect quarterback. Furthermore, he reunited with Frank Reich, a Philadelphia Eagles coordinator in the 2016-17 season and coached Wentz during that season.

Frank Reich is currently Indianapolis Colts’ head coach, who is eagerly waiting to work with his former teammate.

Colts’ plan improves the performance of Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz is not a perfect quarterback, but he has the potential to become one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Indianapolis hired him because of his latent. Therefore, the team will work with Wentz to build him into a great NFL player.

However, Frank Reich and Carson Wentz are friends, and they know each other well as they have worked together previously. So, Colts will definitely put them together for further improvements. “We had a great relationship. The X’s and O’s of football, how we see the game, and how we can have healthy discussions and disagreements,” Wentz said about Reich.

The relationship Reich and Wentz have already built will have an impact on Carson Wentz’s career. Besides, the quarterback has trust in his friend, coach Frank Reich. So, the Colts are looking to develop the offense around Wentz and push back when it gets necessary.
