The Milwaukee Bucks have taken a massive move by acquiring Jrue Holiday from the Pelicans. This NBA Trade Rumor has caught the eye of all the NBA franchises. The Bucks are living up to their promises made to their MVP Giannis, to convince him to sign the max extension deal of 5 years. From the report of ESPN’S Adrian Wojnarowski, it’s clear that the Bucks have given up their three future first-round picks along with Eric Bledsoe and George Hill and 2 pick swaps to acquire Jrue Holiday.

Why the Bucks risked the future of the Franchise?
Giving up three first-round picks is a massive call. If it were for a superstar like Anthony Davis, then it would have been a good call. But to risk the future of the Franchise only to convince their superstar Giannis Antetokounpo to sign the Max contract is a big call from Buck’s Front office and for this NBA Trade Rumor. Jrue is one of the best defensive players in the league. He is a talented two-way player. Jrue averaged 19.1 ppg in the 2019-2020 NBA regular season.
The only driving force for the Bucks to make this massive decision was to build a championship team for Giannis. The MVP was looking for a reason to stay and not a reason to leave. By making this trade the Milwaukee Bucks are trying to hold on to the reigning MVP and build a strong team around him. One anonymous NBA agent reported that the Bucks might decide to sign an extension with Brook Lopez as well. Though it is still considered to be a trade rumor.
Antetokounmpo and Co have been fabulous in the regular season for the last few years and they were making it to the playoffs every time but fell short just before the conference finals. So having a good track record of the pre-season has somehow convinced the front office desk and the current MVP to sign off to this trade.
On the other hand, the Pelicans benefit most from this NBA Trade. The Pelicans already have young, fresh legs in their team and the former No 1 pick Zion Williamson. They also acquired the sharpshooter JJ Redick Last season. And having these future first-round picks will turn the New Orleans Pelicans into a tough championship contender next season.
