“You’ll never want to see someone get ejected” LeBron James responds to Booker’s ejection justification

LeBron James

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers lost against the Phoenix Suns tonight in a closely fought game. Although the Suns won, they had to do it without their best player of the team for the majority of the second half.

Most fans anticipated this game to be a close matchup, and for the most part, it was. However, the turning point of the game was the controversial ejection of Suns shooting guard Devin Booker. Instead of losing focus and throwing away the game, the Suns managed to defeat the Lakers.

However, there are still many sections of the crowd frustrated with such poor officiating on part of the referees. Over the years, the refs have started to give a lot more ridiculous calls. This intervenes in the game’s flow and can sometimes even impact the outcome of the game.

What’s more frustrating is the fact that NBA refs are never fined for such bad foul calls.

After getting defeated by the Suns, LeBron joined the post-game conference. The very first question was about his thoughts on the impact of Devin Booker‘s ejection on the game. LeBron James replied:

I don’t know, I mean I was focused on the game to be honest. I don’t know what was said out on the floor. You always want to compete against the best and you’ll never want to see someone get ejected but I have no idea what was said on the floor, so I don’t know.”

Being the great competitor LeBron is, it’s completely believable that his 100% focus was on the game. Moreover, whether or not the opposing team is at full strength, there is no way that he can influence that.
