Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards cruised along to yet another victory in their late charge towards the playoffs. They faced off against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night who were hapless in defense and could not cope up with the pressure of the game.

The pace of the game was dictated by the Wizards as they looked to clinch another victory. The likes of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook controlled the flow of the game and led their side on both ends of the court.

In the post-game press conference, Bradley Beal talked about what it means to him to have spectators throng the arena. He also talked about how his family and friends spur him on during games and how their presence affects him.

He said, “It was great. We haven’t played in front of friends and family all year. Granted they were in the upper deck. However, their presence itself is very motivational.”

He continued, “You have somebody there who always has your back no matter how good or bad you are playing. Last night I had my boys here and tonight my wife and my brother came. So it’s been great. We are happy that the fans are back and our families are a part of it.”

It was a defensive masterclass from the Wizards that guaranteed them the victory. The Detroit Pistons were not able to adapt to the flow of the game and the Wizards capitalized upon their mistakes.

Russell Westbrook marked yet another triple-double in this game as he went on to score 15 points for his side. Moreover, he also racked up 11 assists and 14 rebounds during the course of the game. Apart from him, Bradley Beal was back to tallying the best as he finished with 37 points and three assists in the match.

“We’re showing that we can put it together,” Beal said. “There’s not one thing that you can point your finger to that we’re doing exceptionally well. We’re figuring everything out. We’re growing as the year’s gone on.

The Washington Wizards are 11th in the Eastern Conference standings. At the moment, they are not in contention for the playoffs. However, they are stitching together a good run of four wins on the trot and will look forward to building upon that ahead of the business end of the season.
