Shaquille O'Neal

Shaquille O’Neal is probably the funniest person associated with the world of basketball. Ever since his playing days, his antics have always been over the top and brought a smile to the viewers. Even after retiring, Shaq continues to elicit laughs on “Inside the NBA”, a show where former players analyze games.

That is exactly what happened when Shaq tried to say goodbye to Luka Doncic in Slovenian. The word for goodbye in Slovenian is “Adijo”. Knowing this, Shaq talked to Doncic after the game while absolutely butchering the pronunciation.

It was a funny moment as the entire cast started laughing along with Doncic. The 22-year-old later corrected Shaq’s pronunciation before going off the screen. After the incident, Shaq said, “I searched how today goodbye in Slovenian and this is what it came up with.”

Doncic was in a happy mood as his team had just defeated the defending champions, the Los Angeles Lakers, in a comprehensive victory. In doing so, the Dallas Mavericks bolstered their position towards securing a playoff berth.

In the game, Luka Doncic was the star of the show as he finished with 30 points. Moreover, he also racked up eight assists and nine rebounds during the game. Apart from him, Kristaps Porzingis continued his hot streak as he scored 19 points. He also got six rebounds and an assist for the team in this match.

“For us, it’s playing hard, playing with high energy,” said Doncic. “The games we lose, I think our energy wasn’t there, and we didn’t play hard. So I think those two things are the key to the playoff.”

The Dallas Mavericks are seventh in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are in contention for the playoff spots. However, coach Rick Carlisle and his men will look forward to winning the rest of their games this season.
