Kyrie Irving

On Monday, Kyrie Irving showed that he is a model human being both on and off the court. While returning with the Nets after their game against the Chicago Bulls, he stopped by to give a handful of cash to a kid who was selling chocolate on the streets to help his family.

This act of kindness was recorded by a bystander who posted it on social media. The post has been doing the rounds all day and Irving has received accolades and praises from the basketball community.

In the video, Irving can be heard saying, “Take it to your family” to the kid while handing him the money. It was a beautiful moment, where the bystanders can be heard thanking Kyrie for his generosity. In fact, he reportedly stopped the team bus to meet another child who was crying to catch a glimpse of him.

Kyrie Irving and his history of being a model human

This is not the first time that the world has seen Kyrie Irving’s benevolence. He has a history of contributing to society and helping to bring a change. More often than not, Kyrie has been at the scene for doing his bit in every social cause.

In the recent Black Lives Matter protests, Irving bought a house for George Floyd’s family to show his support and help the family in any way possible.

He also donated $1.5 million to WNBA players who otherwise would not have been paid while sitting out of the league’s restart last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There’s a deeper level of emotions that I have for helping and serving people around the world. And I’ve done it since I was a kid. I’ll continue on way after basketball,” He said.

“There’s nothing normal about this life that I live. It’s just something I’ve come to accept and embrace as, let me use this as a tool to be able to change things that I want to see in the world.

He continued, “I have to be honest with myself about how much energy I give that, and how many others I’m impacting.”

Kyrie Irving has proved yet again why he is considered as one of the big-hearted individuals in the world of basketball.
