Stephen Curry is lighting up the NBA stage with every game he plays. This season he has ripped defenses apart all on his own and is showing no signs of stopping whatsoever. All the facets of his game are shining at the moment and the 33-year-old is using them to carry his team to victories.

In the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, Chef Curry got cooking and broke the record for the most number of 30+ point games on the trot. Steph has played nine games in which he has scored 30 or more points.

The Warriors, this season, have been going through a transition phase. Veterans are injured and the young players are yet to find their top gear. In these tumultuous times, Stephen Curry has carried the side and given match-winning performances in almost every game.

In the post-match press conference, coach Steve Kerr waxed lyrical about his star player. He said, “He’s been incredible lately, even by Steph standards. It’s the result of a lifetime of training and hard work, but he just does it night after night. We’re in a very good place right now. The guys feel good about themselves.”

Steph was the star of the show as he finished with 33 points to his name. Moreover, he also racked up five assists and four rebounds during the course of the game. “I just try to bring the team joy and a competitive fire,” Curry said. “We’ve got a ways to go, but developing different ways to win games is a good thing.”

Apart from him, Andrew Wiggins also contributed heavily towards the victory. The 26-year-old scored 23 points and six assists during his time on the court.

The Golden State Warriors are ninth in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are one spot shy of playoff qualification. However, they have a four-game winning streak in hand and will look to building upon that.
