Stephen Curry has been the heart and soul of the Golden State Warriors for as long as we can remember. But despite his great performances the Dubs are struggling to find their groove this season. They are barely hanging in the top eight teams of the West with half the season almost over.
A prime example of their struggles was quite evident in their last fixture vs the Charlotte Hornets. In a closely fought battle, the Dubs ended up on the losing side. While the Hornets played great, Warriors veteran Draymond Green played a role in that.
The 30-year-old was ejected from the game in the dying minutes. Which gave the Hornets momentum and ultimately a path to victory. While it’s not the first time that Green has been ejected from a game due to his temper issues, the Dubs will hope it’s the last time for sure.
NBA analyst on how Stephen Curry can help Draymond Green
Following the defeat, NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith pointed out, only Steph Curry can stop Green. Smith said:
“If there is one person that can get into Draymond’s ear and be like yo bro, we need you. We can’t have you doing this man come let’s be cool about this, let’s handle this accordingly and talk to Draymond Green. In a manner that Draymond Green is embracing and accepting of whatever guidance they throw in his direction.
“It would be Steph Curry, far more than Steve Kerr.”
Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have been teammates for a long time. There is hardly anyone on that team, who can get through Green’s ears and make him calm down a bit.
But can Curry accomplish this huge task? Feel free to let us know your views in the comments section down below.
