Shaquille O’Neal is one of the nicest people out there in the NBA. Inside that tall and ominous figure is a big heart that feels for everybody. He showed that once again with another instance of his kindness and generosity.
In a recent post-game show with D-Wade and Candace Parker, Shaq revealed that he likes to do one good deed every time he steps out of the house. This time he did so by helping a woman who had an autistic daughter. Shaq showed his benevolence and paid for her furniture.
While having the discussion, he said, “The other day, me and my mom went furniture shopping. And this lady was there, she had an autistic daughter. She was also looking to pay for some furniture. So I just took care of her.”
He continued, “I’m into making people happy. Whenever I leave the house I try to do a good deed.”
Shaquille O’Neal and his history of doing good for the community
Shaq is a person who never forgot his roots and where he came from. He always strives to make people happy because he knows and understands what they’re going through. He uses his social stature and earnings to good effect by donating to many charities and helping out people.
With a net worth of around 400$ million, Shaq has used his money to contribute and help out communities in any way he can. He helped supply and distribute necessities to victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. He is involved in countless charity events and his “Shaq-A-Claus” routine, delivering toys to less fortunate children on Christmas, is a huge hit.
The 49-year-old also admitted that he did not want any of his deeds to come out on social media. He said that he does not do things to get noticed or attract attention. His larger-than-life personality makes him one of the most lovable people related to the world of basketball.
