Aaron Gordon was traded to the Denver Nuggets on trade deadline day. Since then, he has proved to be a fine addition and a crucial part of the side. He has added another dynamic edge to the Nuggets’ offense and defense.

His talents were on show when the Denver Nuggets faced off against the Orlando Magic. Gordon strived to perform well against his former side. In fact, he was declared the man of the match. It was evident from his body language that he was confident about his game and how he was going to perform.

Critics and analysts have complimented Aaron Gordon as the newest addition to the Nuggets squad. TV analyst Steve Smith even explained the facets of Gordon in a recent chat with ESPN.

He said, “Aaron Gordon really brought the energy tonight. This Nuggets team really needed it because they looked a little flat in the first half. You knew that Gordon was gonna come out with his best stuff because he wanted to play against his old ball club. He pushed the tempo and drove to the basket on a number of occasions. That shows a lot of intent.”

Smith continued, “Aaron Gordon showed tonight what truly makes him special. The fact that he can guard and then transition his defense into a really good offense. He is really going to help this team in the playoffs this year. I think he was a key acquisition for the Denver Nuggets.”

The 25-year-old finished the game with 24 points and seven rebounds to his name. Apart from him, Nikola Jokic also kept up his MVP caliber form by scoring 17 points. Moreover, Jokic finished the game with an astonishing 16 assists to his name.

The Denver Nuggets are slowly transforming into the team to beat in the Western Conference. Their recent performances have shown that they are well drilled in both ends of the court. Moreover, they have players on their roster who can produce moments of individual brilliance to change the course of the game.

With this victory, the Denver Nuggets leapfrog the LA Lakers to acquire the fourth spot in the conference standings. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoffs. With a five-game winning streak, they will be very confident and will look forward to performing well in the postseason.
