The Los Angeles Clippers cruised to yet another victory on Friday night against the Houston Rockets. Although, they were missing star man Paul George, the likes of Marcus Morris, Reggie Jackson, and Kawhi Leonard managed to take the game away from their opposition.

Marcus Morris, in particular, came alive in the second quarter of the match. He directed the Clippers’ endeavors on both ends of the court. Moreover, he was effective in the transition plays. In one such play, the 31-year-old used a fast break for an easy layup. This was appreciated by his mother who was there on the sidelines.

The entire Clippers squad performed exceptionally well to keep the Rockets at bay. Coach Tyronne Lue was especially happy after the final buzzer. He said, “To hold a team in the NBA to 10 points, that’s a good quarter. I’m proud of our guys. We could have had a letdown. We got off to a slow start, but we are finding ways to win when we have guys out.”

Ever since the second quarter, the Clippers dominated the game and never took their foot off the pedal. They did not let the already-struggling Houston Rockets get any foothold in the game.

After the game, Kawhi Leonard said, “We wanted to move the ball, share it. There’s going to be more focus on me, so I got to make sure I start that as a leader of the team and just sharing it early. And then just take it from there.”

The Los Angeles Clippers are third in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoff spots. Moreover, with players like Reggie Jackson and Rajon Rondo finally finding some form, Tyronne Lue and his men will be looking forward to performing well in the postseason.
