The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most decorated franchises in the NBA. The purple and gold have 17 championship banners hanging in the rafters. They are tied for the most NBA titles in the history of the league with the above mentioned number.

However, in the last decade or so the team went through a rebuilding phase. Thanks to their competent owner and president in Jeanie Buss, the team made a comeback last season. Led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the city of Angeles were once again crowned the champions of the world.

Moreover, one of the best things about this franchise is their respect for their former players. We have all seen how the Lakers honored Kobe Bryant after his tragic passing last season.

Speaking of honoring Kobe, many have recently come forward with a request to change the NBA’s logo and put Kobe’s image there. Jeanie Buss supports this request 100% as she made it clear in an interview with ESPN. Following the amazing interview, NBA Hall of Famer and Lakers legend Magic Johnson praised Buss. He tweeted:

“The entire interview was first class! If you didn’t catch it, make sure you catch the replay because it was a lot of great information.”

Johnson further continued, I watched @Lakers owner @JeanieBuss on @FirstTake with Stephen A, Charly, and Max this morning and she did one of her best interviews ever! It was smart, thoughtful, powerful, passionate, charismatic and business-focused.”

Like Magic said, Buss gave an excellent interview with ESPN and made some excellent points. Keeping her position in mind, it’ll be inspirational for numerous people.
