LeBron James scored an audacious layup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night

LeBron James showed everyone once again why he is considered to be the frontrunner for the MVP award. He led the Los Angeles Lakers from the front as they cruised to a victory against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The 137-121 victory on Tuesday night was a resounding one for LeBron’s side as they solidified their title defense.

“King James” scored yet another triple-double in this match. He finished with 25 points and racked up 12 assists and 12 rebounds. His performance was lauded by coaches and teammates alike. After the game, LeBron took to Instagram to post a video of him scoring an audacious layup.

He posted this video with the caption, “Good morning my students! Welcome to today’s lesson. English Class! Open your books to Chapter 18. Enjoy!”. Many personalities including producer DJ Khaled commented on this post.

The game was played behind closed doors. However, if that was not the case then the crowd would surely have risen to its feet after seeing that shot.

Frank Vogel happy about the performance of LeBron James and co

Apart from LeBron, Montrezl Harrell and Dennis Schröder had good games too. Montrezl Harrell was the pick of the lot as he came off the bench and scored 25 points. He also recorded 6 assists during the course of the game. Schröder scored 16 points and had 7 assists along the way.

Coach Frank Vogel was all praises for his team in the post-game press conference. When asked about LeBron, he said, “I honestly don’t think he is playing any different. I just think that our shooters have come alive after the break. Guys have got their legs under them a little bit.”

He continued, “The last three games we have shot the ball very well. That is one of the reasons why Bron’s numbers are up. James continues to play the same way each night. I just thought he played three really strong games.” 

The LA Lakers are now third in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are in contention for the playoffs With AD reportedly coming back in a couple of weeks, the Lakers will be happy and confident about the situation they are in. They will surely look forward to defending their title this time around.
