Kyrie, Harden, Steph, Klay and Ibaka, Kevin Durant Lists His Top 5 NBA Teammates, Dumps Russell Westbrook

Kevin Durant

Whenever anyone picks a list of NBA greats, Kevin Durant is always around the top. The 32-year-old has shown that he can play at the highest level for many years and not lose his infamous quality. In a recent podcast, KD was asked to pick the greatest five he has ever played with. While picking, Durant left a certain someone out of the team.

Durant picked a formidable team of five which included Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson. When it came to choosing the fifth player, KD went with Serge Ibaka instead of Russell Westbrook, his former teammate at OKC.

When asked about the reason why he did not pick Westbrook in his team, he played it off as an honest mistake. However, those who have followed KD and Russ since their OKC days, know that there is more to it than just an honest mistake.

Kevin Durant and Westbrook – a feud that stood the test of time

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant formed a devastating combination at the Oklahoma City Thunder. They both had aggression and showed it often on the court. However, things took a turn for the worse when Durant signed for the Warriors in 2016.

Westbrook came out and publicly called out KD for being a glory hunter and thus started a beef that has continued to this day. Even after the signing, whenever the two teams faced off against each other, there is a visible tension between the two former teammates.

Sometimes things escalated to such a level that the players had to separate the two before they started throwing fists at each other. Things have changed now, the players refrain from having words with one another. However, the animosity remains on the court and is a treat to watch for the spectators.
