Kevin Durant Lauds Damian Lillard for Being Multifaceted As NBA Player & Dropping Music As Rapper at the Same-Time

Damian Lillard

Damian Lillard is without question one of the most prolific players in the history of the NBA. Despite staying in one franchise for all these years, Lillard has garnered a stature for himself which is at par with the best in the business.

In a recent podcast appearance, Kevin Durant, another stalwart of the game, waxed lyrical about Dame. He said, “You see Dame as a rapper. It feels like he is doing both, in the league and dropping videos. It’s cool, he can make both of them work. He is multi-faceted, he can do all of that.”

He continued, “We are all artists at the end of the day. I don’t see a problem with a rapper who wants to hoop or a hooper who wants to rap. There are no more boundaries on anything. Everybody wants to find a way to do something out of the ordinary.

Damian Lillard does more than just play basketball and release music. He is a good person both on and off the court. Lillard has funded foundations and donated to the communities which have been under distress. Mostly, he contributes to the hurt communities in and around Portland, a city he has made his own.

Recently, Lillard signed a deal with Oakley which saw the organization donate thousands of dollars to the Portland community. Oakley announced the partnership, and as part of that partnership, they will be donating $140,000 to Lillard’s RESPECT program.

Damian Lillard has proved that there is more to an athlete’s life than just the game he plays. The 32-year-old has shown the world the positive impact he can have on his surroundings and how he can change people’s lives for the better.
