Julius “Randle is a Better Version of Zion Williamson”- Charles Oakley

Julius Randle

The New York Knicks this season have finally risen to the occasion after underachieving for many seasons. This meteoric rise to becoming one of the hottest teams in the NBA is because of one man, Julius Randle. The 26-year-old has single-handedly taken the side to the point where they are being considered as the surprise championship contenders.

The level of improvement that Randle has shown over the course of the past few months has been phenomenal. Every aspect of his game has changed for the better. Moreover, this upheaval in form has positively impacted the Knicks side who are near the top of the table.

Former player Charles Oakley is of the opinion that Julius Randle is even better than Zion Williamson when it comes to game awareness and intelligence. In a recent interview, Oakley divulged that he thinks Randle has morphed himself to become a much better player than he was before.

He said, “Randle is a better version of Zion Williamson to me. He can do more.”

The Knicks have been nothing short of amazing this season. The way they have maneuvered the ball in recent games is a treat to watch. Moreover, they have also defended fairly well and kept most oppositions at bay. Randle has a big part to play in the Knicks play on both ends of the court.

Even in games, Randle is the one leading the entire team for positions during offense and defense. Tom Thibodeau will be very pleased with the way his team is shaping up with the postseason on the horizon.
