“In Awe of Things He’s Been Doing” Bradley Beal Overwhelmed with AAU Pupil Darius Garland’s Performance

Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal applauded Cleveland Cavaliers star Darius Garland in a post-game interview. Beal played with Garland in the same team at Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

Although Garland could not bring the win for the Cavaliers last night, his ascension continued. The 21-year-old scored 28 points on 9-of-20 from the field. Besides, he included 4-of-8 from 3-point range alongside the four rebounds and nine assists in his 40 minutes of playing.

Garland was the top performer for Cleveland in last night’s game, and as a former teammate, Beal felt proud of him. “He’s a tremendous talent; we were over here on the sidelines just like in awe of a lot of things that he’s doing I’m super proud of him of his growth,” Beal conveyed his feelings about Garland’s performance.

Further, the Wizards star thinks Garland will be one of the best point guards in the NBA. Garland is just 21, and he has a long way to go. However, Darius has been growing since he joined the NBA in 2019. “I see him as one of the best PGs in the league in the future,” Bradley Beal stated.

However, Beal also showed his magic against the former AAU mate. He just completed another fine outing on Sunday and helped the Wizards to swipe Cleveland by 119-110. Beal added 33 points, three assists, six rebounds, and one steal while he was on the court for 39 minutes.

With Beal’s phenomenal performance, the Wizards achieved their eight-consecutive win, which is their longest winning streak in the last 18 years. The Wizards will host the San Antonio Spurs tomorrow in their home game, and the team will undoubtedly look to extend their streak.
