All-star starter teammates James Harden and Kyrie Irving have been playing elite-level basketball. Both of them are proving their mettle each time they step on the floor and breaking records every single day. While Kyrie has a four-game 20+ point streak, Harden recorded the seventh triple-double for the franchise. Only Jason Kidd has scored more triple-doubles for the franchise. Due to the tremendous performances by the duo, the Brooklyn Nets have been able to maintain their six-away game win streak.
In the post-game interview, Kyrie stated the basketball fraternity needs to implement the phrase ‘Get used to it’. Analysts feel that this team has such an enormous amount of talent that these performances are natural.
Kyrie expresses his desires to break records like James Harden
“He’s been displaying that and it makes it easier for me, I’m sure the other guys can echo the sentiment when James is being James it makes all our jobs a lot easier and like I said we got to be used to somebody special like that in terms of breaking records so I can’t wait to be right alongside him with my name etched in history alongside KD alongside BB, alongside Joe and the other guys.” said Kyrie.
He further added that James Harden has been phenomenal this season and is a very gifted basketball player. Kyrie went on to explain how this team has been breaking records. In their last game, the Nets broke a 17 game losing streak at the San Antonio Spurs home court.
James Harden who already has several scoring records to his name has not slowed down. On the other hand, Kyrie has managed to be a major offensive pillar for the Nets scoring in crunch time. The fans have a feeling Kyrie would also give us some record-breaking performances after the all-star break.
A lot of analysts feel it is too early to predict the future of this team. The fans are doubtful that this team has enough prowess to win this championship. But it is clear that none of the scoring records are safe as long as James Harden, Kyrie, and KD are playing together.
