“He was on fire tonight,” Carmelo gets hyped up after Robert Covington’s shocking performance

Robert Covington Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers forward, Robert Covington just blew Charlotte Hornets last night. His season-high score helped Blazers to a 123-111 win over Charlotte last time.

With his 21 points, ten rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, Covington snapped snap a four-game losing streak. All his fellow team members are applauding him for the outstanding play. However, the contribution from other players such as Carmelo Anthony, Damian Lillard, and Gary Trent Jr is conclusive too.

Carmelo glorifies Robert Covington

Carmelo Anthony showed up in a post-game interview, where he said that as a team, they played a complete game. On a similar note, he also expressed how Covington lifted the team last night. “He was on fire tonight he actually played out of everybody the most complete game tonight,” Carmelo said.

Covington has played with power in both offense and defense. Whenever the veteran plays in both places, Blazers becomes difficult to defeat. However, Covington couldn’t give his best in the last few games, and last night’s performance should cover up all his previous failures.

“When he shoots the ball like that, he makes our team you know that much more dangerous,” Carmelo said about Robert Covington.

Despite all the mistakes, teammates did not lose hope in the 30-year-old, and they believe he just needs to find his rhythm.

On that note, Anthony conveys, “we know he can shoot the ball like that so it’s just a matter of time of him getting more comfortable day by day uh continue finding his rhythm.”

However, Covington’s effort in the first half was appreciable; he made ‘4 of 4 threes’ and scored 16 points before halftime.
