“Glad To Be a Part of It” Victor Oladipo Expresses His Gratitude To Be a Part of Miami Heat Franchise

Victor Oladipo

Victor Oladipo was traded to the Miami Heat on trade deadline day. Critics and analysts were of the opinion that including Oladipo will add another dynamic edge to the Heat. They have been proven right as the 28-year-old played his debut game against the Golden State Warriors and provided solidity in defense.

All the other members of the side rallied around him to make this game a relatively easy win for the team. An abysmal defensive performance from the Dubs also worked in their favor. In fact, the Heat managed to procure 20 turnovers during the course of the game and converted them into 27 points.

In the post-game press conference, Victor Oladipo talked about how grateful he is for this opportunity and how he plans on making the most of it. He also talked about the team environment on and off the court.

He conveyed, “This victory shows what kind of mentality we have. It also shows what kind of players we have on the roster. I’m definitely glad to be a part of it. As I continue to adjust to everything, I think we can do something very very special.”

Speaking about the fouls he committed, he said, “I thought some whistles could have gone either way but it is what it is. It’s a part of the game. Unfortunately, it was kinda tough to sit down and not being able to find a good rhythm. However, things like that happen and I’m just glad we won.”

Victor Oladipo and the Heat get the job done

The Miami Heat is a side that knows how to maneuver the ball to different players on the court. This was evident from the fact that four players managed to get their tallies into the double figures in the game. However, the star of the show was Jimmy Butler as he managed to record 22 points. He also racked up eight rebounds and six assists to his name.

One clip that made it to the highlight reel was the incredible defensive awareness shown by Oladipo. He guarded Stephen Curry right from the half-court and stuck with him as he tried to get space to shoot. In the end, Curry had to let go of the ball.

The Miami Heat are fifth in the Eastern Conference standings. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoff spots. They will look forward to doing better in the postseason.
