Frank Vogel Believes “No One Is As Deserving” As LeBron James To Win the MVP

LeBron James produced another masterclass to guide his side to a win against the Charlotte Hornets. The match featured a scintillating performance from the 36-year-old, which made coach Frank Vogel praise his star player after the game.

Lakers writer Ryan Ward reports that Vogel talked about LeBron’s chances of winning the MVP this season. He said, “He should get it this year. He’s doing it every night and no one is as deserving.”

The 36-year-old finished with 37 points and eight rebounds. He also racked up six assists during the course of the game. A collective effort from everyone in the side coupled with a sterling effort from Lebron resulted in a  116-105 victory for the Lakers.

Bron showcased his leadership skills in this game. He led youngsters like Kyle Kuzma and Montrezl Harrell from the front. Even rookie LaMelo Ball from the Charlotte Hornets praised the veteran after the game.

In the post-game press conference, Frank Vogel was asked about his thoughts regarding LeBron James for MVP. He talked about LeBron not winning the MVP for eight years. He said, “I think it’s a mistake on the voters’ part. They went season after season without voting the best player in the league.”

He continued, “He has been the best player in the league as long as I can remember. From his second or third season in the league. It is just one of those things that are unfortunate.”

“The King” is one player who will feature in MVP conversations. This year, he has been near the top. With Joel Embiid injured for at least two weeks, analysts think that this is the right time for LeBron to push forward and bolster his case for the title. This will the fifth MVP award for him in his career.

The Los Angeles Lakers are second in the playoff standings. At the moment, they are in contention for the playoffs. Moreover, with AD returning in a short while, they will look forward to defending their title this time around.
