Dwyane Wade Thinks Rajon Rondo Will ‘Change the Dynamics’ of the Los Angeles Clippers Team

Rajon Rondo

The arrival of Rajon Rondo at the Clippers has sent shockwaves in the world of the NBA. The 35-year-old is renowned for turning the fortunes of any franchise with his leadership on and off the court.

Rondo was the third-best player in the championship-winning Lakers side of last season after AD and LeBron. He has continuously lit up the NBA with match-winning performances ever since he started his career with the Celtics. His addition to the Clippers’ side will bring balance and quality to the already star-studded outfit.

Notable players and legends have commented upon this signing and have appreciated the acumen of the Clippers’ front office. Even Dwyane Wade commented on this trade on Thursday night. He said, “I see Rondo mixing with the group. I think he’s gonna change the dynamic of this side.”

D-Wade talked more about the dismal performances the LA Clippers have put forward this season. He said, “They are in the Western Conference, you’re gonna play good teams often. They are not in a bad place. Tyronn Lue is the right leader for this veteran group. They are still 32 and 18  and are having these games where they are a shadow of their normal selves.”

Can Rajon Rondo change the course of the Clippers’ season?

With players like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in their roster, the LA Clippers should be performing better than they are. However, none of those players have found their feet halfway into the season. Coach Tyronn Lue will have to think of something quick in order to stop things from spiraling out of control.

With Rajon Rondo arriving, he can sort out the defensive frailties which are on display at the moment. He has a knack for finding players in positions from where they can easily score.

A team like the Clippers should not have to rely on individual brilliance from their star players to rescue games. Instead, they should function like a well-oiled machine and move the ball well.

The LA Clippers are third in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoff spots. However, they have their city rivals and defending champions, LA Lakers, breathing down their necks in fourth.
