Draymond Green States Stephen Curry’s Presence in the Game “Always Helps a Ton”

Stephen Curry put forward another reason why he is an integral part of the Golden State Warriors team. His return after suffering a tailbone contusion resulted in the Dubs having their first win in three games. The Warriors went 1-4 with their star-man sidelined.

Chef Curry’s was triumphant as he led his side to a thumping 116-102 win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday. It was evident from the past games that the Warriors were hapless in their offense and defense without the 33-year-old.

It did not look like Curry missed a single game owing to injury. As soon as the game started, he was directing players and looked at ease doing what he does best. Even Draymond Green commented after the game that Curry’s presence “always helps a ton.”

Speaking about the game, Draymond said, “It was a very important game for us and we played like that. We were able to come out with the win.” He even lauded his teammates Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins for defending well against a “dynamic scorer” like Zach LaVine.

Draymond Green sunk an outrageous shot from the logo in this game. Talking about that shot, he said, “It felt good as it left my hand. I always knew that it was going to be somewhere in the vicinity of going in, I just did not know that it would actually go in.”

Stephen Curry and the Warriors snap their losing streak

Steph led from the front with 32 points during the course of the game. He also finished with five rebounds and five assists to his name. Apart from him, Andrew Wiggins also performed particularly well, ending the game with 21 points.

Coach Steve Kerr was especially happy with the return of his star point guard. He said, “It’s so obvious, he just changes everything,” head coach Steve Kerr said postgame. “The game becomes so much easier for the whole team. So it opened things up for us, and I thought every guy on the floor played well. Every single guy.”

The Golden State Warriors have stopped their downward spiral. However, there is still a long way to go when it comes to qualifying for the playoffs. They are currently at 10th in the Western Conference standings and out of contention for the playoffs spots.
