Draymond Green Jokes He Won’t Like to Play Any Team With ‘Steph Curry on It’

Warriors' Draymond Green

The 2015-19 Golden State Warriors revolutionized the NBA, led by Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. The Warriors racked up three NBA titles in five finals, in the subsequent era.

Steph Curry has been stealing all the headlines lately, and it is 100 percent justified. The point guard has averaged 40 points and is shooting just under 50 percent from the 3-point range over an 11-game stretch. With the ability to find an open Curry almost every time, Green elevates Curry’s performance whenever he is on the court.

Draymond Green, who has played with Curry since 2012, knows a thing or two about his teammate. The star forward spoke after Friday night’s win over the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center, explaining why he feels the team’s confidence is building at the right time after winning seven of their last 10 games.

“It’s great to come back out here, first game with Dub Nation here, come out and get a win, that was an important win for us, we need to continue to build on it. As far as teams wanting to see us in the playoffs, I wouldn’t want to. I wouldn’t want to play any team with Steph Curry on it, so that’s just me though, maybe nobody else care, but I wouldn’t want to.”

How far can Steph Curry and Draymond Green take the Warriors this season?

Stephen Curry (left) and Draymond Green (right) will have the responsibility of carrying the Warriors to the playoffs this season.

The Warriors almost certainly will be among the four Western Conference teams competing in the first-ever NBA Play-In Tournament. With Curry and Green within their ranks, it is hard to bet against the Warriors in the play-in tournament. But with the Lakers, Utah, Clippers, and the Suns in the Western Conference, it does not look like the Warriors have a long road ahead in the playoffs.

Whomever the Warriors draw in that play-in the tournament, will certainly have their hands full with Steph and Green playing at such a high level.
