The Phoenix Suns have stitched together an incredible run of six straight victories. These wins can be credited to the incredible partnership of Chris Paul and Devin Booker. This duo has single-handedly taken apart opposition defenses in the games they have played together.
Devin Booker was the star of the show in the victory against the Houston Rockets. His stellar performance resulted in the team coming back from a fourth-quarter deficit. His performance caught the eye of teammates and coaches alike, especially veteran Chris Paul.
In the post-game press conference, Paul waxed lyrical about the 24-year-old. In fact, he even called Booker one of the “elite in this league” while talking about him. He said, “I don’t really know how he did that. I think when you are in it, you just expect it. It doesn’t surprise you anymore. When you are the elite of the elite in this league, that is exactly what’s expected of you.”
Devin Booker and the Suns come back from behind to beat the Rockets
Devin Booker led his side to an impressive victory over the Rockets as they fought back valiantly in the fourth quarter. Booker finished with 36 points to his name in the match. Apart from him, DeAndre Ayton also produced a stellar performance. He finished with a season-high 27 points.
In the post-game press conference, Booker said, “I was just taking what the defense gave me. I got a couple of quick easy 3s and was just trying to win the game. That’s a hard-fighting team over there. A couple of times, we had the opportunity to put them away, but they didn’t go anywhere. We wanted to get this one bad.”
The Phoenix Suns are second in the Western Conference standings. In a division dominated by the likes of LA Lakers and Clippers, they have quietly slipped under the radar. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoffs and will look forward to performing well in the postseason.
