DeMarcus Cousins regards Clippers’ Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as “two-headed snake” post debut match vs Blazers

DeMarcus Cousins made a brief debut with the Los Angeles Clippers against the Portland Trail Blazers last night. Cousins applauded his new teammate Kawhi Leonard and Paul George after being welcomed by them.

The LA Clippers have signed DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract to fill out their much-needed depth at the center. After clearing required health and safety protocols, Cousins got his debut within 24-hours of his sign-up.

The 30-year-old is really happy to play his first game with the Clippers. He thinks the Clippers is the most complete in the NBA as they have Leonard and George. “Obviously they have a two-headed snake in Kawhi [Leonard] and PG,” Cousins said in a postgame interview. “And obviously everybody else’s job is to make their job easy.”

Leonard and George’s duo had a great performance last night. With the PG scoring 36 points and Leonard scoring 29 points, and grabbing 12 rebounds and seven assists, Clippers won the game by 133-116. However, these two players have lifted the team so many times this season.

DeMarcus Cousins at LA Clippers against Portland Trail blazers

Cousins has been out of the court since mid-February. However, Clippers coach Tyronn Lue was firm that Cousins is healthy and ready to hit the court.

Cousins entered the court in the second quarter and played for eight minutes. He out hustled Portland to an offensive rebound and put back the layup for his first Clippers points in the first minute of his debut. Boogie finished his game scoring seven-point with Four rebounds and two assists.

Although Cousins is on a ten-day contract, Clippers will surely renew the contract for the long term as they will not get any better option for their center position. Furthermore, four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins is also looking for his destination after being released by the Houston Rockets.
