Carmelo Anthony’s time with the Portland Trail Blazers has been a story of triumph. Just over a year ago, Anthony was considered down and out. In the end, Melo was able to prove his doubters wrong.
The guard continued to praise the leadership of the veteran “Just his presence in the locker room or on the court, you have to respect what he does out there. I think he has done a lot for us on the court and off the court and we continue to try to keep his legacy alive.”

Considering how competitive the Western Conference has been this season, it is highly unlikely. With Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum on the court, Portland boasts one of the best backcourt duos in the league. And with Melo taking in a more secondary role, he adds some much-needed experience and depth off the bench.
Lakers, Clippers, Utah will be the favorites from the West. But on their day, Portland can trouble anyone. A championship will be a much-needed addition to Melo’s legacy. Portland fans will be hoping that CJ and Melo will be able to deliver the goods, come playoff time.
