“Chris Paul Wants Us To Win 50 to 60 Games” Discloses Devin Booker After Their 40th Win of the Season

Chris Paul

Chris Paul and his leadership skills are unparalleled in the NBA. This season, he has led the Phoenix Suns to unfathomable heights. A side that was languishing at the bottom of the table last season is now in the top two of the Western Conference.

Because of this reason, CP3 is the MVP favorite of NBA legend and TV analyst Charles Barkley. If the Phoenix Suns manage to do well in the playoffs, much of the credit will go to Paul and the way he has led the team out of their dismal rut.

In the post-game press conference after the victory against the Sacramento Kings, Devin Booker talked about how Chris Paul spurs the team in desperate situations. He was asked about the mood in the locker room after they racked up 40 wins in the season. Booker said, “We just keep looking ahead, Chris Paul needs 50 or 60 wins every season.

He continued, “He does this every year. This ain’t nothing new from him and that is what he expects from us.”

The Phoenix Suns set an example for other teams in this match on how to transition from defense to offense. It was a fantastic display from the outfit and they never took their foot off the pedal in the game.

DeAndre Ayton

PHOENIX, AZ – APRIL 15: Deandre Ayton #22 and Devin Booker #1 of the Phoenix Suns hi-five during the game against the Sacramento Kings

DeAndre Ayton was the star of the show as he went on to score 26 points for his side. Moreover, he also racked up 11 rebounds during the course of the game. Apart from him, Devin Booker continued on his hot streak and finished with 23 points to his name. He also scored 4 assists and three rebounds.

“We just had to gut it out,” Suns coach Monty Williams said. “I was really happy for (Ayton) to be able to be the guy down the stretch, taking advantage of his size against their switches.”

The Phoenix Suns are second in the Western Conference standings. At the moment, they are well in contention for the playoff spots. Moreover, they have a four-game winning streak and will look forward to building upon that ahead of the postseason.
