Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Requests NBA To Call Terrence Clarke’s Name in Upcoming NBA Draft to Tribute His Departure

Terrence Clarke of Kentucky Wildcats tragically passed away in a car crash on Thursday afternoon. His death came as a shock to everyone, related to the world of basketball. Subsequently, the 19-year-old had declared for the NBA drafts this season and was looking forward to playing in the league.

Originally from Boston, Clarke went on to play for the University of Kentucky in college. According to his teammates, he was a prolific player who was the best player in his batch. After his demise, many notable NBA greats like LeBron James and Dwayne Wade paid their respects to the young soul.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics wanted the NBA to pay their respects to Clarke by announcing his name in this year’s draft combine. In his latest Instagram post, Brown posted a photo of him with Clarke with the caption, “Words can’t even explain fr what I hate the most the world didn’t even get to see how much potential you really had I hate you left with that on you @nba let my lil bro name get called this year we need that.”

Terrence Clarke – Gone too soon

The Los Angeles Police Department reported that Clarke suffered fatal injuries during the car crash. He was further declared deceased after his arrival at the hospital.

John Calipari, head coach of the Kentuck Wildcats, was deeply saddened by this incident. He said, “Terrence’s teammates and brothers loved him and are absolutely devastated. They know we are here for them for whatever they need. I am on my way to Los Angeles to be with his mother and his brother to help wherever I can.

He continued, “This will be a difficult period for all those who know and love Terrence, and I would ask that everyone take a moment tonight to say a prayer for Terrence and his family. May he rest in peace.”

Notable organizations and companies also paid their respect to the departed soul. Following that, “Klutch sports”, of which Clarke was a part, issued a statement conveying their grief, regarding the events that transpired.
