MU Will Hunt Mandzukic Again in January?

MU has targeted players in the winter market. Red Devils are rumored to be back after the veteran Croatian striker, Mario Mandzukic.

Mandzukic actually entered the list of Manchester United’s target players in the market last summer. However, MU stopped the pursuit of Mandzukic because he was already 33 years old.

However, the situation is currently changing. MU saggy after not buying a replacement for Romelu Lukaku who was sold to Inter Milan. Even worse, two other MU attackers Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are currently experiencing injuries.

The Independent reports that MU manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has mentioned Mandzukic’s name during talks with club boss Ed Woodward. Mandzukic’s situation at Juventus allowed him to be brought to Old Trafford.

The former Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid player has not even played this season because it has become a surplus in the Juventus attack line after Gonzalo Higuain’s return. In addition, Mandzukic has also been stripped of the Bianconeri from the Champions League squad.

Mandzukic is currently getting offers to play in Qatar. However, the 2018 World Cup finalists did not want to leave Europe so that the chances of Manchester United getting their services wide open.

Since joining Juventus in 2015, Mandzukic has scored 44 goals plus 24 assists in 162 appearances in all competitions. Last season, Mandzukic recorded 10 goals and seven assists in 33 matches.
