Marc Marquez is not thinking about moving to another team in the MotoGP event. The Baby Alien still wants to continue his racing career with the Repsol Honda team.
In the MotoGP race last season, Marquez performed brilliantly with 12 wins and became the eighth world champion. He helped bring Repsol Honda to the Triple Crown by winning team and constructor titles.
Throughout his career, Marquez has won the title with the Repsol Honda team six times, namely in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2108 and 2019. He is also listed as the Honda rider with the most wins, 55 times.
With his success with Repsol Honda, some parties suggested Marquez try a new challenge with other manufacturers. Not a few even hoped he could rival his rival, Valentino Rossi, who was able to become a MotoGP world champion in two different teams.
Related to this, Marquez claimed not to have the desire to leave his team at this time. The eight-time world champion still wants to continue to be successful with Repsol Honda.
“Honestly, not now. Right now, that’s not an idea that excites me,” Marquez was quoted as saying by Speedweek.
Marquez’s desire to stay in his current team is getting stronger when his younger brother, Alex Marquez, contracted by Repsol Honda to replace Jorge Lorenzo who retired. The Marquez brothers will also undergo the 2020 MotoGP season as a team.
