LCR driver Cal Crutchlow was upset with Honda’s attitude. The Japanese manufacturer took three techniques to give to Alex Marquez in MotoGP 2020.
After the race in Valencia, the riders did a post-season test on November 19-20 in the same place. Alex made his debut on the RC213V motor after replacing retired Jorge Lorenzo.
So far, Crutchlow is the Honda rider closest to Marquez in terms of results. Aside from Marquez, only Crutchlow was able to reach the podium.
Crutchlow did not approve of Honda’s actions to take its engineers. Crutchlow needs to improve performance after finishing ninth, his worst position for five years with LCR.
“It looks ironic, but I don’t know exactly how my team will change for 2020. Something will change, as I have already said,” Crutchlow was quoted as saying by GPOne.
“Honda took some of my technicalities and, I must say, from my point of view, I was the only rider who could go on the podium with Marc. That was the reality of this season and the previous season. And maybe like that in the following season. Closest to Marc, and I always thought that Honda would help me get closer.”
“They took some of my techniques from the garage, and it really pisses me off. Also, because I don’t feel this will make a big difference to Alex, even though it will have a big effect on me. They are the technicians he got from my team and transferred them to the Honda manufacturer, “Three technicians,” the English driver blurted.
